mom said she would take us to the public pool if we were good this week. she said she would even get us those cookies we like, you know, the animal crackers covered in pink and white frosting we would eat in the playground. she wont buy us coke though, only juice, but thats ok i guess if we have the cookies. maybe if we are really good we can drive to the beach… its so far away, like hours and hours. You’ve never been but i have, i went once, for dad’s birthday, i didn’t like the sand, it was everywhere.

Ryan Gillord’s parents got back together. He told me that the divorce was tough on him, but not nearly as much as this.

“They want to have the family that they “threw-away” back.”

Ryan just got his drivers license. Last week he said to me, “I’m too busy combing pussy out of my hair for that shit.”

Ryan’s the oldest of my friends.

Beginning.

It was probably two months ago when they dredged the river and found them trees. Lost centuries ago due to the careless nature of milling wood, these giant logs were float down the river reliant on the nature that carried them. It happened on many occasion that the trees would sink and there was absolutely no charm left in saving them.

He wakes up yel…

He wakes up yelling.

Shadows like animal balloons float across the ceiling.  Darkness passes over his open eyes. He cannot look towards the threshold.  He feels them. Empty eyes and hands touching the wood frame pulling their shoulders forward to his bed.

Headlights pass through the room, touching every surface, almost in a sweet way.  The lamp, the table, the dog.

The feeling passes.

I saw another classmate pushing three of the most popular girls on the tire. The tire was on its side and suspended by chains off the ground. I was so jealous of how much fun they were having.  At the height of their excitement the tire came back to knock the classmate back into a pole. He rubbed the back of his head with his hand, continuing to laugh until he brought his hand back into sight. I remember hearing their laughs and the look on his face at the same time.

best intentions

They found the dog chained to the tree laying still. The chain reached towards the above ground pool. They dug a hole for the dog though they were unable to get the chain from it’s swollen neck. Apparently you can still go to that same lot and find the tree chained to the yard.

God couldn’t of painted a prettier picture then that of Town Parole.

A collection of stories and gifts.
